The Federal Government has said that the Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) organised by the National Examination Council (NECO), will kick off on the 5th of October and will end on the 18th of November, 2020.
This was disclosed by the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajuiba, on the 29th of July, during a two-day meeting with top officials of examination bodies in the country.
It was also announced that the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) examination will kick off few days before the NECO, on the 21st of November, and will end simultaneously on the 15th of October.
The Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE), also known as Junior WAEC will kick off on the 24th of August and end on the 7th of September.
In addition, the National Common Entrance Examination into Junior Secondary Schools will hold on the 17th of October.
All this was revealed few days after announcing that the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will commence on the 17th of August across all West African states, while schools will partially resume for exit classes on the 4th of August.
